Hey everyone! So today’s post is going to be about makeup! I’ve had several people ask me what makeup I use and I’ve had others ask me what makeup is gluten free. So today I’m going to answer both of those questions!
I use Physicians Formula makeup. Their products will be labeled if hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, dermatologist approved, non-comedogenic, etc. Though ALL of their products are gluten free! My mom got me to using Physicians Formula because she has used it for years. You can usually find Physicians Formula makeup at CVS, Walmart, Meijer, Kroger or Target. I really love their line and none of their products have really disappointed me. They have several different lines of products including Argan, Organic, Mineral, Nude Wear, etc. They have pretty much all the makeup you need. Anything from foundation, powder, cover sticks, blush, eye shadows, mascara, etc. The only product they don’t have is lipstick (but I’m going to dedicate a whole post to that topic in the future 😉 )
The foundation I use by Physicians Formula is in their Mineral Wear line. It’s a liquid foundation, has SPF 15, and the color is natural beige. I also use their light concealer stick. The powder I use is also in their Mineral Wear and is SPF 30. The blush I am currently using is from their Organic Wear line. This shade seems more of a natural color and isn’t a really bright pink, which I like. They also have a Super CC+ cream, color+correction+ care that is SPF 30. I haven’t used it very much but I intend to once I run out of my foundation. It’s light/medium shade.
Now onto what I consider the “fun stuff”…eye makeup! I have several of their eye shadow shimmer strips but I have two favorites that I usually always end up wearing. One is the hazel eye candy shimmer strips and the other is their smoky eye. Though I don’t have hazel eyes (I couldn’t find their brown eyes at the time), I really love the colors included. Dark and light grays, pinks, and a light brown are some of the colors. I tend to use the light grays, brown, and light pink the most. The light pink color is almost a sparkly white it’s so light. The smoky eye includes dark and light grays, silvers, and purple and blues. Again, I use the grays and the white/silver color the most. I really like smokey eye colors! The great thing about their shimmer strips is that they include 9 different shades in each package!
Recently, Physicians Formula has come out with an extra shimmer line of eye liners and shadows. I haven’t tried them myself because I prefer the basic eye liner colors. The two I use the most are black and dark brown. Most of their eye liners come in packs of 3 and usually include a black. All of these in the picture are from the Nude Eyes pack.
I’ve tried several of their mascaras and they are the one product I don’t love. It might just be that I haven’t found the right mascara of their’s yet. When I first used their mascaras they ended up all over my eyes and I basically had to do my makeup over. But once the mascara is used more it doesn’t seem as wet. This mascara is in a black tube and is from their Organic Wear.
Currently, out of Physicians Formula lip products I have only been able to find their pH matchmaker lip glosses and their plump potion. They do have a few more options online. I have tried both colors of their pH matchmaker lip glosses, pink and red. I really like the colors they give off once worn. The lipgloss has a led light and a mirror on the side. I’m more of a lipstick girl than lipgloss and wish Physicians Formula had a lipstick line. I haven’t tried their plump potion.
I’ve decided to enclose some pictures to show what their makeup looks like on. Here is a link for Physicians Formula website and their say about their products being gluten free: http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-us/faqs.html
I hope this post has been helpful for you and you intend to try Physicians Formula makeup! Let me know what you think in the comments!
Have a great day!
