Hi there! I hope your Monday (leap day) has been good! I only have 2 classes on Mondays so I actually look forward to them 🙂 I also want to rejoice and say that 2 of my friends from cru small group got baptized tonight!
So for this week’s bible verse I decided to choose one of my favorites. It’s Matthew 17:20.
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
This verse reassures us that no amount of faith is too small. Sometimes we doubt that our faith isn’t strong enough, that we can’t make a difference, or we’re not as “one fire for God” as someone else is. These may seem true. I know my faith could be stronger. I hope to make a difference, maybe by someone reading these weekly verses. And I do compare my faith to other’s sometimes saying, “I wish I could be one fire for God that much.” But then something will hit me, I’ll get an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and will feel so blessed, and I know God is there. He plays a part in my life each and every day. This verse reminds me that sometimes when we feel our faith is the size of a mustard seed, we still believe, we’ve still been saved from our sins, and although you may feel like your faith isn’t strong enough, it is.
You can’t go anywhere without a little faith,
Ciara
