Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend! I was pretty surprised that classes weren’t canceled for either Friday or Monday to give those who were celebrating Easter an extra day with their families. I didn’t like that my parents had to take me back on Easter, so we celebrated on Saturday.
For this week I chose Colossians 1: 10-12. This passage was again, chosen from my prayer journal. It has been my go-to lately for Start your week off RIGHTeous.
“so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.”
These two verses really have a lot of power in them. It’s a command that we must stand firm in our faith and live a God pleasing life. We can do this by surrounding ourselves with fellow believers who can keep us accountable. God never said that being a Christian was going to be easy and that you’d never doubt. But the reward (Heaven) is so much greater than the times we doubt and we must cling onto that promise from God. We should let Jesus shine through us in how we live.
Something that has been on my heart lately has been sharing the gospel with others. Before coming to college, I didn’t really know a lot of people who weren’t Christians. But now, I realize that there are a lot of people who don’t believe in God. I want to be able to share the gospel but sometimes I’m not sure how. When given an opportunity to teach someone about Christ, I want to be able to recognize that opportunity and let God speak through me.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s passage. And remember, you can’t go anywhere without a little faith.
