Start your week off RIGHTeous: Week 13

Hi there! I hope your week is going well. I was able to go home this weekend for my boyfriend’s senior prom 🙂 It was so much fun and great to go back and see some old friends.

For this week, I decided to talk about progress. I heard this quote a few weeks ago and I really liked it. I’m not sure who said it.

“Just because you aren’t making progress as fast as you think you should, does not mean you aren’t making progress.”

This quote really struck me. I’ve been struggling in one of my classes and it has just really discouraged and frustrated me. When I saw this quote, it kind of just made me feel at ease and that I’ll make it through the class. Just because I’m not doing as well as I hoped I would be, doesn’t mean that I’m not trying. I am trying and I am still making progress. College is hard. And for some it’s harder, for some it’s easier. As long as we try and put in the effort, that’s all we can do. We have to trust that God will lead us through the struggles and things will turn out just how he wants them to.

1 Timothy 4:15 says, “Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.”

When we’re struggling, we just have to try harder. And give the glory to God. Acknowledge that he’s the one who lead us through the hard times. He’s the one who gave us this knowledge to use and to go to college. Thank him for that. Accept where you’re at now but strive for improvement and thank him for the progress.

And you can’t go anywhere without a little faith,
