Hi there! I hope your week has been going well. Mine has been pretty hectic lately and my mind hasn’t been on blogging lately. I’m hoping once things calm down I’ll be able to post more!
For this week, I chose Ephesians 4: 22-24
“…to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
I decided to use this verse because lately I haven’t been devoting as much time to doing my devotion every day. I’ve been busy pretty much ever since I got home from college but still, that is no excuse. There should always be made time to read the bible.
This verse tells us to get rid of our old habits and our old self and to put on a new self. Someone who tries to act like Jesus all the time, who fully relies on God, and who has the fruits of the spirit. I want to get rid of my old habit of when I feel so busy I don’t make time to read the bible every day. I want to set aside a time to read the bible and to feel God’s presence.
What old habit do you want to break and become new?
Sincerely,
Ciara
