Hey everyone! I’m been brain storming a bunch of blog posts for you guys for 2017! But, I’m always open to suggestions and want to write posts that you guys want!

I decided to throw together a list of my top 5 gluten-free beauty picks. Some of the products listed I’ve used for a long time and some are more recent. Keep in mind that my top 5 can change, if they ever do I’ll update with my new favorites for you all to know about! Let’s jump in!

  1. Physician’s Formula: makeup

I’ve used Physician’s Formula brand for a long time, basically ever since I started wearing makeup. They have a wide range of products ranging from foundations to eyeshadows to argan oil primers. Their products are available at CVS, Walmart, Target, Meijer and I’m sure other department stores carry them as well. I’ve heard some controversy about their products being truly gluten free, though it says on their website that they are gluten free. That is up to debate for yourself. I personally have never had any problems using their products, but keep in mind that everyone’s sensitivity is different.

I’ve done 2 blog posts about just Physician’s Formula in the past, you can view them here: Makeup: Physicians Formula! and Physicians Formula Product Review #1!

2. Red Apple Lipstick: makeup

Recently, I have discovered the joys of using Red Apple Lipstick, and I don’t want to go back to not knowing those joys. The quality of their products are stunning and are totally free of gluten, dairy, corn, harsh chemicals, and parabens. They use ingredients that are not only good for your skin, but help your skin! Sadly, their products are not available in stores and can only be purchased online at redapplelipstick.com. They have eyeshadows, liners, mascara, lip gloss, and of course lipsticks. They’re also coming out with blush and bronzers this month!

You can check out my reviews of them specifically at the following posts: Red Apple Lipstick: Review 1Red Apple Lipstick: Review 2Red Apple Lipstick: Review 3Red Apple Lipstick: Review 4 (last one!)Red Apple Lipstick: Wine and DandyRed Apple Lipstick: Like U Latte and Petal to the MetalHoliday Red

3. Evolution of Smooth (eos): lip balm and lotion

I’m sure most of you have heard or seen eos products, especially their lip balms. Most of their lip balms come in a sphere shape, but I recently got one for Christmas that’s in a regular lip balm tube. I like it better than the sphere ones. eos also has lotion and shaving creams. I haven’t used their shaving creams but their lotion is my favorite that I’ve tried so far. It isn’t oily and doesn’t have a weird texture. I like using their lotions for my hands and face. You can purchase eos products at almost any department store, including Walmart, Target, and Meijer. I’ve noticed eos lip balms and lotions are labeled gluten free but I would always check to be sure. Again, I haven’t noticed their products bothering me.

4. Softlips: lip balm and lip gloss

I’ve been using Softlips lip balms for a while. They have never failed to make my chapped lips feel better. They also contain spf for the summer time. Softlips has many different scents and some tented lip balms as well. I’ve also tried their coral lip gloss also. Their products are labeled gluten free. I purchased mine from Big Lots actually but I’m pretty sure Walmart and Target carries them as well.

5. Sabun: lip balm and soap

I’ve recently discovered Sabun products at our local Oktoberfest. I’ve only tried their spearmint lip balm and soaps, but I’m a fan of them. Sabun is actually located in Bloomington, Indiana and their products are gluten free, vegan, cruelty free and made with organic ingredients! I’ve seen Sabun products in Bloomingfoods at Bloomington and I believe Kroger carries them as well. You can also order online at soapysoapcompany.com.
